Sasakawa USA’s JUMP Program returned to San Diego’s Petco Park in cooperation with the Japan Society of San Diego and Tijuana for a Padres vs. Marlins game with visiting service members from the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Forces.

This Friday marks the fifth anniversary of 3/11, when the most powerful earthquake ever to have hit Japan struck off the coast of the Tohoku region. As the disaster unfolded, a massive tsunami with waves up to 40 meters in height slammed into the coast, killing more than 15,000 people and contributing to the meltdown
