During his visit to Japan, Vice President Mike Pence raised the possibility of a bilateral trade agreement between the U.S. and Japan. But, reviving the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade pact may be the best option for Japan, says Sasakawa USA Fellow Tobias Harris, quoted in the Washington Post.

More than five hundred registrants joined Sasakawa USA at the Willard Hotel in Washington for the Third Annual Security Forum. The Forum featured American and Japanese security, foreign policy and economic experts from both countries and included seven panel discussion on such topics as U.S.-Japan defense policy, regional security threats, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the U.S.
