The Japan-U.S. Military Program sponsored the Japan Society of San Diego & Tijuana’s Beer & Sake Festival on June 16, 2017 at Harrah’s Resort Southern California in San Diego’s North County. The festival is a popular and fast-growing charity tasting event, featuring local restaurants serving sumptuous appetizers, and breweries pouring tasty beers and sake.
The Japan-U.S. Military Program (JUMP) and the Japan Society of San Diego & Tijuana will host a breakfast reception in San Diego at the Bay View Restaurant aboard MCRD San Diego. The event will feature talks from local military and civilian leaders as well as Ambassador James Zumwalt, Sasakawa USA CEO.

Sasakawa USA, in partnership with the Strategic and Defence Studies Centre at Australian National University and the Command and Staff College of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force, convened a public forum in Canberra, Australia to discuss the current status of the U.S.-Japan-Australia trilateral maritime relationship and explore means for further strengthening and future cooperation.
