
U.S. elections, TPP, U.S.-Japan alliance management take forefront at Third Annual Security Forum

More than five hundred registrants joined Sasakawa USA at the Willard Hotel in Washington for the Third Annual Security Forum. The Forum featured American and Japanese security, foreign policy and economic experts from both countries and included seven panel discussion on such topics as U.S.-Japan defense policy, regional security threats, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the U.S.

True Stories from Japan: From a college whim to a lifelong passion

Although the way in which I was introduced to Japanese did not seem too deep at the time, my relationship with Japan has informed almost every aspect of how I live my life now. I’m optimistic about the future of the U.S.-Japan relationship, and I think Sasakawa USA is one of the vehicles that is going to help take that relationship to a new level.

Sasakawa USA supported a TED-talk style, college-level Japanese language speech contest organized by The Language Center and the Japanese Program in the Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at The George Washington University. Sasakawa USA is happy to have been one of the sponsors of the 2015 J-Live Talk, the first Japanese language speech contest of its kind in the United States.
