Sasakawa USA’s Fourth Annual Security Forum brought together government officials, academics, and security experts for a day-long conference on Asian security within the context of the U.S.-Japan alliance. The event provided diverse views on challenging issues with panel discussions on topics such as congressional views on trade, U.S.-Japan defense policies, the North Korean threat, and cybersecurity cooperation.

Auer U.S.-Japan Center, brought together private and public sector experts from both the United States and Japan for an off-the record discussion of common challenges in cybersecurity and energy. The group addressed issues including cybersecurity threats, modernizing electric grids to integrate conventional and renewable sources of electricity, expanding use of energy storage and distributed generation, and responding seamlessly to disruptions.
