Summit dialogues reinforce strength of US-Japan relationship

The United States and Japan reaffirmed the strength of their bilateral relationship at two high-level summits in Asia in late November: The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit and the East Asia Summit (EAS). On December 2, the House Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific held a hearing assessing U.S. Strategic Interests related to those summits, both of which were attended by President Barack Obama.
