Susan Dalzell joined Sasakawa USA as the communications manager in November 2017. Dalzell’s responsibilities include managing Sasakawa USA’s web and social media presence. She lived in Tokyo from July 2014 to July 2017 while her husband was stationed at Yokota Air Base with the U.S. Air Force. Dalzell previously worked as a communications officer for the University of Cambridge in England, where she managed the university’s internal communications and edited the university’s staff magazine. She also worked for eight years in the central communications office at The Ohio State University as an editor for the university’s faculty-and-staff newspaper. Throughout her career, Dalzell has written for a variety of newspapers and magazines as a freelance journalist, covering culture, travel, the arts and higher education. She is the author of Poetry 101 (Simon & Schuster, 2018). She also enjoys blogging about her travels around the world.
Dalzell graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the College of Wooster with a bachelor’s degree in English.
