Sasakawa USA Chairman and CEO Adm. Dennis Blair testified Wednesday, July 13, 2016 before the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations Subcommittee on East Asia, the Pacific, and International Cyber Security. The hearing addressed “U.S. Policy Options in the South China Sea” following the July 12 release of a UN Tribunal decision on maritime disputes between the Philippines and China.
Sen. Cory Gardner (R-CO) presided over the hearing, which also included testimony from The Honorable Kurt M. Campbell, Chairman of the Center for a New American Security and Former Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs. Other subcommittee members who participated were Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD), Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), and Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI).
