Japan OKs laws allowing greater military role despite opposition

Sasakawa USA’s Jeffrey Hornung comments on the passage of Japan’s new security laws in an article written by Kirk Spitzer at USA Today.

“If you consider Japan’s power projection capabilities, restrictions on the use of force, and the role the national legislature plays in authorizing missions, Japan remains very much constrained. (The legislation) is not as dramatic as some critics are portraying.”
