Sasakawa Peace Foundation USA (Sasakawa USA) is pleased to announce that Admiral Philip S. Davidson, the 25th Commander of the United States Indo-Pacific Command, has joined the Sasakawa USA Advisory Committee on Projects.

The Sasakawa USA Advisory Committee on Projects consists of five distinguished leaders in global affairs: Dr. Joseph S. Nye, Jr, University Distinguished Service Professor, Emeritus, Harvard University; Secretary Randall Schriver, Chairman of the Project 2049 Institute, and former Assistant Secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs; Ambassador Kurt Tong, Partner at The Asia Group, former Consul General of the U.S. to Hong Kong and Macau, and former U.S. Ambassador for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC); Ambassador Melanne Verveer, Executive Director of the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security, and the first Ambassador for Global Women’s Issues; and Admiral Philip S. Davidson. Through the experience and expertise of this committee, Sasakawa USA will continue to play a critical role strengthening the U.S.-Japan relationship by enriching policy discussions, research, publications, and networks.
