  • U.S.-Japan Integrated Security Dialogue 2024

    From April 28 to May 3, Sasakawa USA welcomed the 2024 U.S.-Japan Integrated Security Dialogue (ISD) delegation to Washington. The high-level parliamentary delegation consisting of six Japanese lawmakers led by the Hon. Akira Amari, former secretary-general of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and the minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, who has been spearheading Japan’s economic security strategies.

  • The G7 Summit and Japanese Global Leadership

    Hon. Akira Amari, member of Japan’s lower house and former Secretary-General of the LDP, delivered a speech on “The G7 Summit and a New Era of Japanese Leadership” in a co-hosted event with the Hudson Institute. Hon. Amari talked about the importance of creating a united front among the G7 countries, the urgency of maintaining global technological leadership among Western democracies, and winning friends in the Global South with more tolerant attitudes by the U.S.

  • U.S.-Japan Integrated Security Dialogue 2023

    From April 30 to May 5, Sasakawa USA welcomed the 2023 U.S.-Japan Integrated Security Dialogue Delegation (ISD) to Washington. The high-level parliamentary delegation consisting of six Japanese lawmakers and a policy expert was led by The Hon. Akira Amari, former Secretary-General of the LDP and the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, who has been spearheading Japan’s efforts to bolster economic security strategy.

  • U.S.-Japan Integrated Security Dialogue 2022

    From May 1 to 6, as part of the U.S.-Japan Integrated Security Dialogue program, Sasakawa USA welcomed a high-level parliamentary delegation of six from Japan. The delegation was led by The Hon. Akira Amari, the champion of Japan’s economic security strategy.
