Young Security Experts meet with Mr. Yoshihisa Komori

On September 19, Sasakawa USA welcomed Mr. Yoshihisa Komori, Associate Correspondent in Washington with the Sankei Shimbun and Advisor to the Japan Forum for Strategic Studies, to discuss Japan’s security concerns arising from increasingly aggressive Chinese behavior. This in-person roundtable provided a valuable opportunity for the next generation of U.S.-Japan-Asia security scholars and policy experts in the Washington, D.C. area to expand their professional networks and discuss Japanese domestic political trends and security strategy with an experienced journalist covering security issues in the Indo-Pacific region. We also appreciate the special guest Dr. James J. Przystup, Senior Fellow, Japan Chair from Hudson Institute for his insight offered at this event. Sasakawa USA looks forward to continuing to hold events to engage with and support up-and-coming scholars and experts who are working to support a strong U.S.-Japan alliance.
