Understanding China-Japan Relations 1945-2019

Professor Ezra F. Vogel spoke on Sino-Japanese relations from World War II to the present at “Understanding China-Japan Relations 1945-2019” on October 10, 2019. Dr. Vogel, Ford II Professor of the Social Sciences Emeritus, Harvard University, is the author of China and Japan: Facing History (Harvard University Press, 2019). Dr. Vogel examined the sources of current strains in the relationship, and offered his recommendations on how the two countries can overcome the past to improve their relationship and work together towards common interests.
