In-Depth Research Trip: Roundtable Discussion with Mr. Brent Sadler

On September 14, Sasakawa USA hosted a roundtable luncheon to showcase the research and trip findings of Mr. Brent Sadler, Senior Research Fellow for Naval Warfare and Advanced Technology at The Heritage Foundation, who traveled to Japan this summer on Sasakawa USA’s In-Depth Research Trip. Mr. Sadler summarized the key points from the publication he produced from his research in Japan, Sea of Japan: Resurgent Flashpoint or Strategic Distraction?, which included recommendations for how the United States and Japan can address shortcomings in preparing to handle a potential conflict in the Sea of Japan, which would have wide-ranging consequences for Japan’s national security.
