On March 3, 2015, Sasakawa USA welcomed Dr. Satoru Mori for a private, off-the-record discussion on Japan’s assessment of the Obama administration’s rebalance to the Asia-Pacific region.

About the Speaker

Dr. Dr. MoriSatoru Mori is Professor in the Department of Global Politics of the Faculty of Law at Hosei University in Tokyo. His general fields of interest are international politics and U.S. national security and foreign policy. His current research interests include U.S. strategy in Asia, the nexus of security policy and international economic relations in American grand strategy, and the possibilities and limits of “peaceful change” in the contemporary international system and their implications for Japan. He is currently a visiting researcher at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the George Washington University’s Sigur Center for Asian Studies.
