Policy Briefing Series: Challenges to the Global Economy and Sustaining Development in Asia with Mr. Takehiko Nakao

On April 7, Sasakawa USA hosted a Policy Briefing event featuring Mr. Takehiko Nakao, chairman of the Center for International Economy and Strategy and the 9th president of the Asian Development Bank (2013-2020).
Drawing from over 40 years of experience in international finance and policy, Mr. Nakao provided insights into key economic and geopolitical challenges shaping the global landscape, including the impacts of international conflicts, shifting trade policies, and demographic trends. Mr. Nakao also examined Asia’s economic transformation over the past five decades and the region’s ongoing challenges.
