Outcome of APEC 2017 and Recent Developments in U.S.-Vietnam Relations

Sasakawa USA held an off-the-record policy lunch on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. The lunch focused on “Outcome of APEC 2017 and Recent Developments in U.S.-Vietnam Relations.” The discussion featured comments from Ambassador Pham Quang Vinh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the United States. Daniel Bob, Director of Programs and Senior Fellow of Sasakawa USA, moderated a Q&A session with the audience. During the lunch, Ambassador Pham Quang Vinh talked about the successes of the November APEC Economic Leaders’ meetings, developments of TPP-11, and progress of U.S.-Vietnam cooperation in bilateral and regional relations.
