Celebrating U.S.-Japan friendship as symbolized by Japan’s gift of the cherry blossom trees, Sasakawa USA presented an innovative public discussion on April 2 highlighting U.S.-Japan leadership and collaboration in emerging technologies. The event was held as a part of the 2019 National Cherry Blossom Festival and took place in the Mayflower Hotel’s District Ballroom.
Attendees heard from Silicon Valley experts on technology trends in the United States and Japan with a focus on technologies surrounding autonomous driving vehicles. Panelists explored how autonomous driving can dramatically transform our future way of life, and highlighted areas where the United States and Japan could further collaborate to promote and govern the application of self-driving vehicle technology in the United States, Japan, and the world.
There was also a light reception following the discussion featuring Japanese appetizers and cherry blossom-themed décor.
