An Alliance of Maritime Nations: The United States and Japan

On April 17, 2009, Sasakawa USA hosted a seminar focusing on if The United States and Japan should lead efforts in the maritime realm to protect the commons, create public goods, maintain peace, and encourage prosperity. This event was the result of a dialogue project organized by the Ocean Policy Research Foundation to strengthen the U.S.-Japan alliance by focusing on areas of maritime cooperation.
