On March 7, 2019, Sasakawa USA, the Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville, the World Affairs Council of Kentucky and Southern Indiana, and the World Affairs Councils of America co-sponsored “Japan-Kentucky Collaboration: Developing the Bluegrass Workforce and Economy.” This panel discussion, held at the Hyatt Regency Lexington, was presented in partnership with World Trade Center Kentucky and Japan-America Society of Kentucky.
On March 6, 2019, Sasakawa USA co-hosted a public panel discussion, “The U.S.-Japan Alliance Working in Kentucky,” with the World Affairs Council of Kentucky and Southern Indiana and the World Affairs Councils of America in partnership with the East-West Center in Washington and Japan-America Society of Kentucky. The panel, held in Louisville, Kentucky, examined important developments in today’s Japan with implications for U.S.-Japan relations, the depth and breadth of Japan-Kentucky ties, and the impact of Japanese business investments in Kentucky.
